The Banker honors RBI as ''Bank of the Year'' in Central and Eastern Europe
RBI has received the prestigious award from the Financial Times magazine for the ninth time
RBI’s network banks in Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania, and Slovakia were also decorated as "Bank of the Year 2016"
The Banker, the trade magazine published by the Financial Times, has honored Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI) as "Bank of the Year 2016 in Central and Eastern Europe". Thus the renowned magazine has decorated RBI with the marquee regional award for Central and Eastern Europe already for the ninth time. In addition, five of its subsidiary banks were named "Bank of the Year" in their respective countries.
"I am pleased with the awards, as The Banker honors RBI's good strategic orientation, market position and performance as well as its broad range of products and services for retail and corporate customers in 14 Central and Eastern European countries," said RBI’s CEO Karl Sevelda. "With the awards, The Banker’s Jury also appreciates the profound expertise, the great commitment and the top achievements of our employees. For this, my heartfelt thanks go to the colleagues throughout RBI Group."
The RBI network banks in Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania, and Slovakia were selected as "Bank of the Year" in their respective countries. The awards were presented in a gala on 7 December in London.
